WHERE IT BEGAN

It started with something I grew up around — craft.

Born in Rajasthan, I was surrounded from an early age by the colours, textures, fabrics and craftsmanship that make the region so special.

Handcrafted textiles were never just something I saw in markets; they were a part of everyday life. Growing up close to this world created a deep appreciation for the beauty of Indian craftsmanship — in every print, every texture and every hand that brings a piece of fabric to life.

Over time, one thought stayed with me: these crafts deserve to be seen in a new light.

Jaipur has always been an important part of this journey. Known for its rich textile traditions, distinctive prints, colours and generations of craftsmanship, the city represents the connection to where the story began.

The journey starts with fabrics and craft traditions from different parts of India, with a strong connection to Jaipur and Rajasthan, and brings them into a contemporary world.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

“There has always been something special about growing up around Indian craft.”

What started as a familiarity with fabrics and craftsmanship slowly became a desire to create something of my own from it. Haathkaari is a way of keeping that connection alive while giving Indian craft a fresh expression.

The goal is simple — to create pieces that carry the spirit of where they come from, but belong just as naturally in the world we live in today.
